Art Studio with Hardwood Decking

The wonderful thing about a bespoke design is that anything is possible and being able to work with and around a garden always enhances the look and feel of a garden room. In this case we designed and built a garden room and deck that flows within its surroundings and maintains the natural beauty of the nearby apple trees. With seating, lighting and planters this inspirational sanctuary is perfect for letting the creative juices flow.

Ipe hardwood decking is a wonderful partner for cedar cladding and by playing with angles, orientation and shapes this finished project is a feast for the eyes. An Ipe pergola with unusual metal panels creates a stylish shaded area for outdoor seating. Sliding doors are a great use of space because they do not open in or out and use any of the internal or external area, which for a building of 3.3m x 3.3m makes a significant difference. Used as a full time garden studio and part time exercise space, the versatility of a smaller space is clear.
